If you go to my homepage, at the very bottom you’ll see my mood board. It is constantly changing according to what I’m feeling, going through at the moment. Right now I’m trying to keep my fitness motivation up and that’s what’s always on my mind.

Since getting back into blogging I vowed to create a mood with the images I share here on the blog. Sometimes I hit the nail on the head and sometimes I fail, but that’s how we learn. Some of my favourite posts, I love them because I managed to bring my vision to life in the best way possible. This post and this post are one of my favourites so far on the blog. Some of the best bloggers in the world have a thought process and they consult with their photographer on the direction or the mood they want to give off.

The other really amazing way to share your vision is through video. I recently revived my YouTube Channel and I’ve learnt a lot in the last  2 months. It’s much easier to communicate through video content. It takes me almost an hour to write up a blog post, on video that is less than 5 minutes of talking.

It is however, much harder to create a mood on video, it’s much harder to bring your vision to life, it’s harder to keep people engaged and you need to let your personality shine through. As much as it’s harder I’ve realised that constantly doing videos helps over time and it improves your skills. I’m leaning more on video content nowadays because I feel I can share much more information that way!

I love both video and photos and the direction you are heading with vlogs. I think with your following, you can tap into that existing audience…video is definitely your next big thing. I watch a lot of youtube and i have realized consistency, bringing out your personality and having fun while doing it actually works. If you are bored while shooting a video, I will definitely be bored while watching it.

I love mood boards & I agree photo boards are easier to make than video. However, I’d love to see what you come up with, imperfect as it may be 😉
