noun
noun: procrastination; plural noun: procrastinations
the action of delaying or postponing something.

I'm one of those people who would take eons to reply a simple email or even do a simple task. It’s in past tense because I’m no longer a chronic procrastinator. There are 3 simple things that can be done to kill the procrastination bug;

Make lists

I do this every morning when planning my agenda. I can either do it on my phone or my notebook. As a blogger an editorial calendar is a necessity. I’ve been using it for the last month and productivity has gone from 60% to 120%. Plan the content you’ll post on a certain date so as to avoid writing that content on that day.

The successful warrior is the average man with laser like focus – Bruce Lee

Start with high priority/hard tasks first

You have the most energy when you wake up hence that’s the best time to do the high priority tasks. It’s the best time to go to the gym, best time to have important meetings. Always set up reminders for such tasks. I have all this info on my arm in my Samsung Gear S2.

Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs – Henry Ford

Start a simple routine

As much as routines tend to get boring, the do bring order and structure in life. If you want to start working out at your local gym, make sure you create a routine around it. Case and point; I had mastered an easy routine of working out 5-6 days a week for about 5 months or so. Once I went for the Christmas holidays that routine went up in flames.

Procrastination is the thief of time – Edward Young
